Jonathan was born in Surrey but spent most of his childhood in Essex. He took a degree in Philosophy at the University of Sussex and then spent the next few years teaching English in various countries including Spain and Germany. He eventually settled in Barcelona where he took the University of Cambridge Diploma in English Language Teaching. Shortly thereafter he became Director of the International House school in Terrassa. Two years later he was appointed Marketing Director for the International House Eastern Spain Group of schools then in 1994 he became Director General of International House Barcelona. He is currently Chief Executive of Net Languages and Chief Executive of the IH Eastern Spain Group.
